RatMat Info

Our two lines of RatMats, Pro and Classic, are manufactured in Taiwan, home to the best factories for manufacturing our types of mats. All our mats have been SGS tested and certified for nontoxicity and other relevant compliances.

RatMat Pro

Made of nontoxic 100% Thermoplastic Elastomer (TPE) material, our Pro mats are recyclable and photodegradable; they can become brittle if exposed to direct sunlight for extended periods of time, so please keep them out of direct sunlight. Printing ink used on all our mats is also nontoxic.

Our Pro mats are closed-cell in manufacture, so they won’t absorb moisture. They are 24” wide, 72” long, and 5mm thick

RatMat Classic

Made of nontoxic PVC foam, without the use of pthalates, heavy metals, or toxic plasticizers, our Classic mats are designed to last for the long haul. Printing ink used on all our mats is also nontoxic.

RatMat Care

RatMat Pro

Should you wish to clean your mat, please use a mild, non-oil based soap and a soft cloth. Hang to dry. Do not place your Pro mat in the washing machine or dryer.

These mats can be cleaned using a mild, non-oil based soap and a soft cloth. Hang to dry. Do not place your RatMat Classic mat in the washing machine or dryer. We recommend giving your Classic mat a wash before use to enhance grip.

All of our RatMats are nontoxic and manufactured with environmentally sensitive processes; however, because RatMat Classics are shrink wrapped immediately after production it’s possible that you may notice a slight odor when you unwrap your mat. If this is the case, simply unroll and let it hang in a dry, ventilated space until any scent dissipates. This is an issue that any mats made from a PVC base material may experience. Other mats of this type are known as Clean PVC, Non-P, or PER mats.

RatTowel Info

All RatTowels are manufactured in China, of durable 100% microfiber material (80% polyester/20% nylon). They’re able to absorb many times their weight in water, are fast drying and made to endure many trips through the washer and dryer.

RatTowel Care

RatTowels are machine washable and dryable. To prevent possible issues with color bleeding, YogaRat recommends washing RatTowels separately in cold water before use, and in cold water with like colors thereafter.

RatWear Info

RatFlips

Available for women, RatFlip’s footbeds are made from nontoxic, eco-friendly TPE and EVA foam material. Their footstraps are constructed of durable compound rubber. Closed-cell in manufacture, the footbeds won’t absorb moisture from your feet or the environment.

RatTees and RatTanks

Our tee shirt and tank “blanks” are manufactured by Alternative Apparel, headquartered in Norcross, Georgia. Alternative Apparel is known for their high-quality, high-style blanks. These are fitted shirts, so if you’d prefer a looser fit order one size larger.

RatWear Care

RatFlips

RatFlips can be cleaned with a mild soap solution and a soft cloth. Air dry.

RatTees and RatTanks

We recommend washing your shirt in cold water with like colors and tumble drying at low temperature.

RatGear Info

RatPad

Clean with mild soap-water solution. Don't leave in direct sunlight. Please use care when storing or packing your RatPadTM, as sustained pressure over small surface areas may leave impressions in the foam that do not affect performance. Treat your RatPadTM well and it will always be there when you need comfort most!

Blocks

Our Yoga Blocks are manufactured in Taiwan, of 100% EVA material, which is durable and very lightweight. Closed-cell in construction, our blocks won’t absorb moisture, so they’ll be your constant practice companion for the long haul.

Straps

YogaRat’s Yoga Straps are made of heavy-duty 100% cotton with steel rings. They’re manufactured in Taiwan.

Yoga Towels

This is a great product. I primarily practice hot yoga, and the yogarat towel does what it's supposed to: absorbs the sweat, and stays put on my mat! It's a pretty color too (I purchased the purple ash). I have a yogitoes mat towel that I've used for years, that I know I paid much more for, but I like the yogarat towel better - it stays in place better, and it provides full mat coverage (due to the extra length). I would definitely recommend this towel.

The YogaRat fits my yoga mat perfectly. I wash then dry it for just 10 minutes on the delicate cycle. If you really want to see how much sweat you really let out in a hot yoga class this "charcoal color" will do it. By the end of 60 or 90 minutes this towel is DARK and a bit heavier. Great product.

I love this little microfiber towel. It has eliminated the dreadful slippage that I always experience during my extra sweaty yoga sessions. I threw this towel in the wash with all my other workout clothes and I didn't have any issues with the colors bleeding. I also *love* the color, since we all know it's really about looking good. I'm just really glad I scouted around for yoga towels, and the ones by Yogarat are a very nice find. The towel's longer than my mat, so I just fold the ends of the towel under the mat and it stays in place without a problem. With other yoga towels I've used, I've had to spray water on them so they'll stay in place and keep my hands from slipping; I didn't need to do that with this towel. I'm definitely getting a few more of these!

Great Yoga mat. Purchased one for my husband and self for our Bikram Yoga classes. We had been using our non water-resistant mats in class and they were not holding up well. These mats repel moisture, clean easily, have great traction and roll out perfectly flat. Love them!

RatMat Classic

Some yoga mats (most) have a terrible off-gassing that seems to never cease! NOT THESE lovely numbers. No off-gassing at all. I love this mat. This particular color is very calming and has a lovely print. Some days I turn it over and have no print (just for variety). It is soft & squishy enough to be comfortable and also nice for standing poses....(not too mushy). No slipping in downward dog or any other pose. I highly recommend this. I'm soo glad for all the other reviews on Amazon that I poured over for hours before finally finding YogaRat. Nice job, YogaRat

Rat Towels

I was looking for a light weight beach towel that I could carry to the beach in my backpack. I came across this towel and decided to give it a shot. I was not disappointed. Love my new RatTowels! I use the hand and face towels at the gym, they're SO absorbent! Great to have during or after an aerobics class or a yoga session! Also handy to have with you on the treadmill. They come in terrific colors, they're light and don't take up much room in your gym bag. Definitely worth a try at a great price!
